"I appreciate that you are doing this for free"

Dear Graham,

Thanks a lot for the first lesson. Even though I played piano for 3 years, I am very rusty and would like to revise the basics, that's why I am doing your course. I appreciate that you are doing this for free, and hope you won't mind me asking you some questions along the line. I am eagerly waiting for the second lesson.

"Thanks for the emailed lessons they were a great help in my starting out"

Hello Graham

"I`m a "mature" student just starting out again after ** years since my last attempt at learning to play, I have in fact signed up for the Rocket Piano online course and am now looking for a local piano tutor to help with the basics of posture, hand position etc.

I`ll need all the help I can get!!

It helps to speak with other students to realise we all find it hard going and very frustrating at times and is a relief in a way to understand good musicians are rarely born, it really is practice, practice and then practice some more."

Thanks again

Pete

PS I have just become the proud owner of a fantastic
Clavinova so I had better learn this time around...

"Learning how to play piano will help me greatly"

"Graham,
I want to thank you so much for your good piono lessons, they are so understandable and clear and for the care and love of your students,

I loved listening to stringed instruments when I was still a boy and I love listening to piono as well so learning how to play it will help me greatly.

Thanks even for your good words"

"I found your course valuable but I must push on now "

"Thank you for your email. I certainly am practicing every day and am trying to build on the information that you so kindly supplied in your free introductory course.

I am a complete beginner and so it is a hard slog every day but I know that I am making progress. I am trying to master chords at the moment and my left hand won't do what I want it to do and when.

I am comforting myself with the knowledge that I learned how to touch type so I should be able to play the piano too if I stick at it. I did find your course valuable but I must push on now so I am reading everything that I can to help me progress. Thanks once again."

Yours painstakingly, Mike

"I am eager to go through every lesson just to be able to play the piano like a real professional"

Dear Howard,

Thank you very much for your piano lessons.

Unfortunately, I have been so busy in the school where I teach as we prepare for the first term exams before the christmas break.  However, I have been able to go through the first lesson today and I am happy to tell you that I have gained quite a lot as regards avoiding bad habits and knowning the right techniques.  I have also known the finger numbers.

I will be getting you informed as I make progress in the lessons.  I am eager to go through every lesson just to be able to play the piano like a real professional to the Glory of God in the church where I worship.

Once again, thank you and remain blessed.

Sincerely yours,

Kennedy

dear graham thankyou for the info; i have just bought a bentley piano for 20 pounds from my local school .needs a tune though; there storing it for me until i build a workshop to practice in! i have a small keyboard to practice chords on ie chord book for xmas!! beats socks! being trying to play fur elise on it for the last year ie full version but i need another octave to my right!tried playing on a piano once ;   phew? need pressure sensitive fingers.i know i am fooling myself and need to start from basics but it feels nice when my wife says .   [ that sounds nice love!!] the main inspiration for me wanting to play the piano; was the colonial song by percy grainger. That must be the most pleasurable piece to play .   That is my hopefully one day  goal. anyway thanks again graham

"Thankful for your online presence!"

Dear Mr. Howard,

dear Graham!

Thank you very much for your piano lesson part 1, which you sent to me (on request) today!

I'm already looking forward to the following parts.

I'm a pensioner (65) who has begun anew to play piano after having been "forced" to do so in my early teens. The big difference is: Now I'm doing it voluntarily and with a lot of motivation coming out of myself. In former times I felt pressed and I hadn't been really motivated. Not to disappoint my parents hadn't been motivation enough.

Now, after the life-period of professional work I have moved from Germany to Sweden. Living in the landscape of my heart, i. e. Lappland. Playing piano shall become an essential part of my daily living. To let you know that, in my case, it is not only an old bloke's affair: Among the grand children of my Swedish lady friend are at least two for whom I'm expected to recommend and find an acustic piano on Sweden's second hand market. (Good gracious! Do I make myself understood with my foreigner English?)

I have visited "ukpianos.co.uk" quite often. I haven't found a better, resp. more informative homepage in the web. Big compliment to you!!

Thankful for your online presence!
With kindest regards,

Winfried

"I am a 70 year old pensioner just starting out. Your piano lesson "Does age matter when learning piano" certainly fits me a treat!"

"Hi Graham. Just to say thank you for the five part mini course which I have found most helpful.

I am a 70 year old pensioner just starting out with the piano for the very first time, so your earlier comment in part two "Does age matter when learning piano" certainly fits me a treat !!!

I have only just taken delivery of my Yamaha keyboard and once I have a chance to go thru some exercises etc. I should be in a better position to feel which ongoing course would suit me best. After all, now in retirement, I have plenty of time in which to fit my new project.

I have added your www.Rocketpiano.mobi link to my favourites. Thank you again for your kind assistance."
