Assembly
The piano comes flat-packed and is very easy to assemble. The electronics and keyboard are fixed in - all you have to do is
assemble the stand. There is only 4 screws that fix the stand to the keyboard and 4 more to fix the stand together.
I do advise two people to do the job though - purely because of the keyboard's weight - It is heavy and safer to have a helping
hand when lifting it on to the stand.
Reviews
Firstly, I had decided from the outset that I wanted a digital piano because having achieved piano Grade 6 at school some 30
years ago (and having not played since) I do remember that I became easily bored with the instrument and knew that a digital piano would be the
solution to retaining my interest if I were to take up playing music again.
It was Graham Howard's clear, impartial and considered review of the various digital pianos on offer in the market, and the
excellent video by Peter Baartmans demo of Yamaha (from the internet) that convinced me to buy a Yamaha over that of say, Roland. I wanted a
quality instrument that would last and had a decent specification so to avoid an urge to upgrade to a more sophisticated model after only a short
space of time. After trialling various Roland and Yamaha I chose a Yamaha Clavinova CVP409PE. This piano stood out over the Roland in looks,
features, quality of construction, graded hammer keyboard feel and most importantly overall realism of sound. Having now owned it for three weeks
I am absolutely enthralled with it and am convinced I made the right choice.
