Questions
Thanks for all your help Graham!
In terms of gadgets I don’t need that many but we do need something that feels and sounds as much like a piano as possible, in which case would
you go for the CLP220 over the YDP131?
Sorry, I know it’s difficult and we will obviously have to try them out in person but I’m still not quite sure.
Thanks very much for your help so far. As I said, I don’t want to have to trade up in a couple of years but likewise I
don’t need the gadgets; just something as piano-like as possible. V confusing!
Kind regards,
Annabel
Reply/ Hi Annabel.
You will be much happier with the CLP220 over the long term. The CLP220 has more power, limited 'gadgets', a nicer touch and a
warmer piano sound.

V Yamaha CLP220 Compared With Classenti CDP2
The Yamaha CLP220 does offer a little more than the Classenti CDP2.
Here are the differences:
The Yamaha weighs 5kg less.
The Yamaha has 10 additional instrumental voices, the Classenti has 8.
The Yamaha has 50 built-in demo songs, the Classenti has 32.
The Classenti is more compact.
The Classenti comes with a 5 year warranty, the Yamaha is 3 years.
The Classenti will save you £200 over the Yamaha.
I love the sound and touch of both the CLP220 and the CDP2. Of course, they have their own individual
characteristics...
There is not much to choose between them. If anything, the Yamaha has slightly more body to its sound.
Summary
For an extra £200, the Yamaha offers you a little more power, a slightly better sound, more demo songs and 2 extra instrumental
voices.
The Classenti will save you £200, the warranty is 2 years longer, and the cabinet is more compact.
It really comes down to personal preference... You should really choose the piano that best fits YOUR needs.

Questions
Dear Graham,
I am looking to buy myself a digital piano so I can start learning to play again. I achieved my Grade 5 while at school and
would like to take it further. I have been looking at the Classenti CDP2 and the Yamaha CLP 220 and I am having trouble deciding which product to
go for. Could you tell me if one has a significant advantage over the other?
Best regards
