Hi Graham,

I downloaded your book with no trouble at all. Plus I read it (all) yesterday, and am greatly enlightened in readiness for making a purchase.

The Digital Piano will be for my Aunt – she used to play piano but hasn’t had one for several years now. Her husband died a couple of years ago and she is thinking of taking up playing again, but has decided that a conventional piano will take up too much space.

It remains to be seen how she will make the compromise between having a ‘fixed’ digital piano and a space-saving stage piano, but your book will be invaluable in helping us to evaluate the pros and cons.

Thank you so much for your sincere effort to write, as well to maintain, your excellent book about digital pianos. It helped me really much in sorting out all the relevant information regarding digital pianos. The piano is intended for my 11 years old son (I will join him in playing, for sure) and I still haven’t made the final decision, mostly
because I would like to see more persistence and joy in his music schooling before I get the piano.

Another reason is surely the budget, but I will try to go for Yamaha CLP 330 as an ultimate choice, or CLP 320 as an economic compromise.

Thank you for the e-letters, I’ve not as yet been able to choose a piano but after Christmas I’m thinking of a Yamaha P85 or similar just as a starter as I’d be able to fit it in this house and possibly take it to town when I stay there. Then I’ll need to learn how to play it.

Just thought I would let you know that i took your advice and decided buying a cheap Thomann one would be something I would regret forever. So I bought a Yamaha Clavinova CVP501 and I am extremely happy with it. Now just to get the fingers working again and find out what all the buttons do.

I’m considering purchasing my first digital piano, and finding it a little daunting. I want to learn to play the piano as we don’t have a keyboard player for our church.

Your book was extremely useful. I’ve jotted down all the things I need to look for, and shall take it to our local store. Although you recommend online buying, I like to support the local guys, and the chap in our store in town has been very helpful so far….
