Hi Graham
We haven’t bought the piano yet, still trying to decide which is our best option, COSTCO (Wholesalers) have are selling a Casio Privia PX730 – any thoughts?
Kind Regards
Ken
Reply/ Hi Ken
The Casio PX730 has been discontinued.
Probably Costco are the only ones that have
some left.
The PX730 is (was) a decent piano for the price.
Its sound is a little thin, but still piano-like.
And the key touch is medium weighted. So ‘OK’ up
to about grade 5 intermediate level.
A similar piano in the Korg range, the SP170S,
is certainly worth comparing against the PX730.
The Korg has a slightly fuller piano tone. The
key touch is similar.
You can read more about it here:
www.ukpianos.co.uk/korg-sp170
Alternatively you could wait for the new model.
I haven’t heard when it’s due in, but the model
name is PX735.
Yours pianistically,
Graham Howard
