“Amazed at the sound. A sensible selection of voices all of which sound excellent”
Initial impressions from an older novice (learnt music at school, but lapsed thereafter and now retiring).
Assembly: Simple, when I had found the instructions at the back of the manual.
Sound: I had listened to this piano in a shop and compared it and others to ‘real’ pianos. I was impressed then but amazed when I first played it at home.
A sensible selection of voices all of which sound excellent. Volume adequate for an average room. It will be used in a few weeks for a wedding for which I will use some amplification by sending a very low headphone output to a line input on my amp.
Features: The use of bass keys to select options does cut down on the number of knobs, but it is necessary to use the menu sticker placed above the keys.
The features are all sensible and work well. I was advised to get a cover (Classenti CKC5) but the Kawai now comes with one.
Overall. I spent some time researching options in the £600-900 range. I now own a digital piano that exceeds my expectations.
