Questions and Comments
Hi Graham,
I just started a couple of months ago to play the keys after 10 years. My first aquisition was a Roland JV-80 synthesizer (I know I know, a little old; but it was in a great price and I wasn’t sure if my comeback would be sucessfull). I’m hook up with the JV, it’s great, I’m playing about 3 hours daily and I feel great. Lately I’m thinking on getting a good digital piano since the JV is only 61keys I’m felleing tied already. My plans are just to have it on the house, and me and my childrens play with it from time to time (no giging no teaching no pro-like concerts).
I was considering getting a Roland since the synth performed good, Yamaha is on second option. Nothing else considered so far. Then my local shop offer me yesterday a Ringway PDP500 for about $600 (wow that’s the half of any roland or yamaha!!!), but my first question was: “A Ringwhat???!!”. The guy told me they have full service repairing the thing and two years of warranty, but this is the first time I hear the brand. I found your site looking for reviews on digital pianos.
Have you ever had experience with one Ringway?.
Thank you in advise for any info.

Reply/ Hi Javier
The Ringway is a basic piano. Obviously not of
the same quality as Yamaha and Roland.
But if you’re getting a 2 year warranty you
should be OK.
The Ringway would be OK for a few years of
learning. But you’d have to upgrade it for
something a bit better when your playing
reaches a decent level.
Yours pianistically,
