Hi
The book was really useful, thanks.
Just one question please – we are in the
process of converting a bedroom into a room for my digital piano and we were
wondering if the flooring would affect the piano. Would either carpet or
laminate be detrimental to the sound?

The type of flooring wouldn’t be detrimental
to the sound…
But the sound would change depending on the
type of surface; hard or soft wood, carpeted,
tiled, rugs, etc.
A carpeted floor would soak up some of the
sound. This would make the sound quieter. It
would also take a little of the brightness
away.
A hard wood floor would amplify the sound…
It would also add brilliance.
Yours pianistically,
