Yamaha CLP525 Reviews
1) “I would advise anybody buying a Yamaha Clavinova to pay a bit extra for the next model up”
Thanks for you guide to buying pianos Graham it was useful advice.
In the end I had to go to a local music store (Dawsons of Chester) to see the pianos as yours was a bit far away.
I had in mind two pianos the Yamaha CLP525 and the Yamaha CLP535. I ruled out the CLP525 as it does not have an auxiliary socket to plug in an additional audio device.
However I also found there was a noticeable difference between the keyboard action of the CLP525 and the 535. The 535 was far superior in my opinion, so I would advise anybody buying a piano to pay a bit extra for the next model up and also try them in a shop.

2) “Advice given at the store by Graham have left us as very satisfied customers”
Having decided to buy a digital piano I was somewhat overwhelmed by the choice available and was unable to decide until I discovered The Digital Piano Bible.
After reading the download it was very much easier to decide which criteria were the important ones.
Armed with this knowledge my wife and I went to the UK Pianos store in Enfield to further narrow down the choice. We found Graham to be most helpful and patient with two learners. After hearing him play on several pianos and upgrading from our initial choice we settled on a Yamaha CLP525.
As we live in France it had to be shipped to us, but because we were to be on holiday delivery had to be delayed until we returned.
On the agreed date the piano was dispatched.
A few days later one of Graham’s staff phoned to check that it had arrived safely. When she was informed that it hadn’t arrived, she very kindly chased it up and phoned us back. The delay was due to holidays and our rural location.
This level of service and advice given at the store by Graham have left us as very satisfied customers and would recommend UK Pianos to anyone interested in purchasing a digital piano.
PS the piano is great too.

3) “I love everything about my new piano”
Hi Graham,
Thank you so much for your fantastic advice in the ‘bible’ for buying digital pianos. It was invaluable, and quite rightly, just as you predicted, I knew more about certain points of the pianos than the salespeople when I got there!
I chose a Yamaha CLP525. Based on your advice – on the quality and make of the Yamaha, and the fact I didn’t need any bells and whistles at all. I just wanted an instrument as close to a piano as I could get (but without the weight inconvenience so I can have the piano upstairs).
I bought it from Millington music in Sheffield as that was the closest retailer to where I live in Doncaster.
I love everything about my new piano, the look (the modern look matches my house), the feel, and the sound. And I love how the keys feel. I love I can plug in the earphones, so my teenage children don’t moan at me trying to recapture my grade 8 standard of 30 years ago. I love I can turn the volume up and down, and I love I can move it around if I decide to rearrange the room!
Very satisfied customer, and many thanks again for making my decision so straight forward and stress free.

“The most important thing you need from a digital piano when you’re learning is a realistic touch. A good piano sound and a minimum of 4 touch sensitivity levels (pp, mp, mf and f) are also important. Other factors such as: dimensions, weight, colour, and ‘bells and whistles’ shouldn’t really be a deciding factor in your purchase”,
