The Yamaha PSR1500 is part of the brand new series of high-end auto arranger workstations from Yamaha (PSR1500, PSR3000 and Tyros). These keyboards have specs and sounds many competitor’s synth workstations would envy. 96 notes of polyphony, Organ Modeling technology with virtual drawbars and Cool and Sweet Voices are just some of the sonic advantages the Yamaha PSR1500 features.

Of course, the Yamaha PSR1500 is also packed with tons of cool styles and has the ability to display lyrics and notation in its full dot backlit LCD. Add in full computer connectivity with the new Internet Direct Connection function for Broadband connectivity, the ability to use USB storage devices (like Hard Discs and Thumb Drives), and a Smart Media card slot and your dream arranger workstation is complete.

Internet Direct Connection (IDC)

Users of the new Yamaha PSR1500 portable keyboard will be among the first to experience Internet Direct Connection (IDC). This Yamaha-exclusive feature marks a giant leap forward in instrument expandability and enjoyment.

At launch, IDC users will be able to browse and download 1000s of songs, as well as receive valuable information such as product updates, news and user tips, right from their instrument’s display screen. This easy to use feature works with any high-speed Internet connection on a wireless or cable-connected network via the instrument’s built-in USB connector.

The Internet Direct Connection marks the next logical step in instrument evolution. The Internet has already expanded into mobile phones, gaming consoles and even some home appliances. By connecting Yamaha Clavinovas and portable keyboards to the web, musicians all over the world get an unlimited amount of information and content.

Designed for consumers with all ranges of Internet and technology experience, Internet Direct Connection provides songs and styles starting at only a few Euros per item. There is no additional fee for the service itself and IDC can be remotely upgraded as new technologies and services are developed.

The Yamaha PSR-1500’s user-friendly interface [interface picture here] is available in instruments with color and black and white LCD screens and let’s musicians easily find and download songs by pressing a few buttons. An initial registration for the service is required using an Internet-connected computer.
